The Nuestro
Pueblo collection was created over an 18-year period by
an artist who spent eight years living in Central
America among the descendants of the Mayas. The
portraits, all done from real people, capture both the
customs and the psyche of a people that are being
rapidly assimilated into Western life.
This
collection has received important
honors: it was
exhibited by the U.S. Ambassador to Guatemala at his
official residence and at the Washington, D.C.
headquarters of the Organization of American States.
